High performance rising butt hinge, tested on a maximum adjusted door weight of 50kg with two hinges – due to the precision engineering of these rising butt hinges, three or even four can be used per door leaf to increase the load-bearing if required.
Rising hinges are designed to ensure a door closes once opened and are often used on cubicle doors; the hinges cause the door to rise as it opens, the door will rise 10.5mm over 180 degrees so special door head/frame details may be required.
To ensure correct operation, pairs of rising butts must be fitted co-axially with screws supplied. The minimum recommended door thickness 29mm. Rising hinges require regular maintenance. After fitting, the cam faces and pin must be lubricated with grease supplied.
