BL1032: Oval Recessed Bolt with Receiver Plate
PRODUCT STORY
Designed with the hysteresis at the forefront this ultra smooth lever action flush bolt (Patent Pending) is designed to be recessed vertically into the end or face of a door and is usually used to secure the slave leaf of a double door set; enabling the main leaf to latch or lock into the slave leaf. The bolt is thrown and retracted by operating the small lever.
The main body is solid brass with rounded ends, to ensure ease of fitment with the width of the body at 18mm, its possible to produce the recess in one single simple cut which are complemented with striking curved apertures designed for absolute comfort whilst operating the solid brass lever paddle.
We recommend that two bolts are fitted per leaf, one at the top of the door and one at the bottom. A ‘receiver plate’ is supplied with each bolt, which can be used for a bolt being fitted to the top of a door. However, a socket (BL1035) is required for a bolt that is fitted at the bottom of the door and these need to be specified/purchased separately.
The benefits of our new British-made flush bolt, in a nutshell:
1. Every part is CNC machined to achieve tighter dimensional tolerances compared to standard cast or pressed options. This makes it much more consistent for morticing into a door.
2. Minimal fascia, as only the user interface is visible, which is 133mm long and slimmer than our other options at just 18mm wide.
3. The fascia remains a constant size whatever the length of the bolt, which is concealed within the door.
4. Adjustable shoot allows the bolt head to be adjusted to give you up to 10mm more shoot if required.
5. Available in all our signature finishes to complement the rest of the hardware.
